The newly opened 2,000 seat Sydney Coliseum Theatre, West HQ is set to become the entertainment heart of Western Sydney, bringing professional musicals and live performances to the west that were previously confined to the Sydney CBD.

The Project

The 2,000 seat auditorium is reconfigurable to a flat floor auditorium able to host a range of events, concerts and exhibitions, either in traditional lyric mode or as a flat floor cabaret dinner style venue.

The building includes:

  • An 84 line flytower
  • A powered orchestra pit capable of hosting 45 musicians
  • State of the art control and production infrastructure
  • Backstage facilities to support professional touring companies

Our Scope

Marshall Day Entertech provided theatre planning and technical design of AV, rigging, lighting and sound systems. Marshall Day Acoustics provided full acoustic design services including the acoustic design of the auditorium, sound insulation and building services noise control.

Completion
